Sion Hospital Deputy Dean Alleged for Cheating Medical Pupil

The Sion police has registered a fresh case against Dr. Rakesh Verma, Deputy Dean, Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, and two others for allegedly cheating a medical student from Kolhapur, promising admission to a post-graduation course (MD) at Sion hospital. On Saturday, the police arrested Aditya Kumar alias Anand Sharma and Dheeraj Tiwari for cheating. Similarly, In 2021, Sion police busted a medical seat racket promising admission to post-graduation at Sion Medical Hospital wherein Verma was alleged for duping medical students.

In the fresh case, Dr. Abu Taher Takildar from Kolhapur stated that he was contacted by a person who identified himself as ′Dr. Anand Sharma′. Sharma told him he could help him get admission from the government quota at Sion hospital. A police officer stated that Dr. Abu paid Rs 20 lakh to Sharma and Tiwari but got evasive replies.
